High-output multitasking in a compact footprint
As component complexity increases and production runs become more varied, manufacturers need greater machining flexibility without adding multiple machines or consuming more factory space.
The Nakamura-Tome JX-50 combines turning, milling, drilling and simultaneous five-axis machining in one compact machine. Components that would otherwise move between a CNC lathe and machining centre can be completed through a more integrated production process.
The tool spindle, lower turret and right spindle can move independently, giving manufacturers greater flexibility when planning machining processes for different components. This configuration supports simultaneous machining while helping reduce part transfers, repeated setups and work in progress.
With a machine footprint of 3,000 × 2,000 mm and up to 900 mm between the left and right spindles, the JX-50 combines a compact external footprint with a generous internal working area.
