Preston General Engineering: Embracing innovation for over 50 years

Preston General Engineering (PGE), a family-owned Australian business, has been operating in the northern suburbs of Melbourne for over 50 years. Specialising in the supply of products to the automotive and transport industries, PGE has established itself as a trusted name in precision engineering.

Over the past 15 years, PGE has experienced significant growth, transforming its operations into a world-class Smart Factory. This transformation has been supported by the integration of TRUMPF technologies, particularly in laser cutting and sheet metal folding.

John Kaias, owner and director of PGE, remains committed to innovation and continuous improvement. His recent visit to the TRUMPF INTECH exhibition reflects this forward-thinking mindset, as he explored the latest advancements in TRUMPF technology. Accompanying him was his son, Christian—the third generation of the Kaias family to join PGE—who is eager to deepen his understanding of the TRUMPF portfolio and its potential role in PGE’s future.

At Headland, we’re proud to support Preston General Engineering on their journey and look forward to being part of their continued growth and success.
