When RØDE decided to upgrade its tool room to have some of the most cutting-edge machinery that the Australian manufacturing sector has to offer this is when the first initial contact was made with Headland Technology and our Makino Sales specialist Anthony Mitchell. Anthony offered RØDE valuable advice and a seamless purchasing process this then proceeded into the sale of the Makino UP6 H.E.A.T. This Makino UP6 H.E.A.T is the mark of ultra-performance and is designed to produce the ultimate precision with unparalleled thermal stability and the highest level of construction accuracy. It achieves workpiece positional & roundness accuracies of 1 micron on its entire travel. While providing X/Y/Z travels respectively of 650mm by 470mm 320mm. This machine can hold a part up to a maximum of 1800kg on the table.
Headland Technology’s CNC service team in NSW were all involved in the installation of the Makino UP6 H.E.A.T. machine so that RØDE can benefit from this cutting-edge technology. Jason Chang a Makino specialist was brought in from Singapore to offer application support to Rode Microphone and to upskill the CNC team to be able to uninterruptedly support the Makino wire-cutting community in NSW. Future-proofing the RØDE’s business to stay ahead of the market.
