Headland Technology and Netstal have maintained a long-standing partnership, ensuring that advanced injection moulding technology is available to manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand. With Netstal now operating under the ownership of the Krones Group, this collaboration provides local companies with direct access to equipment and processes that meet European production standards, while being fully compatible with Krones’ widely used filling and packaging lines.
At drinktec 2025 in Munich, Netstal presented the next-generation PET-Line 4000, a system developed for high-performance and sustainable preform production. The PET-Line 4000 achieves a cycle time of 4.8 seconds and produces more than 108,000 preforms per hour when equipped with a 144-cavity mold from MHT, also part of the Krones Group. For higher outputs, the PET-Line 5000 supports up to 192 cavities, placing it among the most productive injection molding platforms globally.
As Netstal’s established partner in Australia and New Zealand, Headland provides local manufacturers with access to this technology as well as the expertise required to integrate and operate it effectively. The partnership ensures that companies do not need to rely exclusively on overseas resources; instead, they benefit from localised service, training, and lifecycle support.
This service model reduces downtime, mitigates operational risk, and ensures that capital investments in Netstal equipment are supported with the same standards applied in Europe.
The combination of Netstal technology and Headland support delivers measurable business advantages for manufacturers in the region:
These features allow businesses to improve cost competitiveness, maintain production stability, and meet sustainability obligations.
Since joining the Krones Group in 2024, Netstal has strengthened its integration with Krones’ downstream filling and packaging equipment. This alignment is significant for the Australian and New Zealand markets, where Krones lines are already widely deployed.
By investing in Netstal’s PET-Line through Headland, manufacturers can ensure system compatibility from preform injection moulding through to filling and packaging. This guarantees that production processes meet European standards, with efficiencies comparable to leading international facilities.
The partnership between Headland and Netstal demonstrates a shared commitment to long-term collaboration. Headland’s business model is built on supporting clients beyond equipment supply, focusing on training, technical expertise, and lifecycle service.
By combining Netstal’s precision engineering, the Krones Group’s global integration, and Headland’s established local presence, manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand gain access to a proven platform for reliable, efficient, and future-ready production.
From seamless system integration and precise cost analysis to maximising sustainability benefits, our team delivers customised guidance designed for your unique requirements.
