Frantzen Discomatic a family business based in Germany, they have recently incorporated a Planar system into their shop floor to support their TruLaser 3030.
They invested in the TRUMPF TruLaser a few years ago, however, Frantzen were using calipers and other manual measuring devices to inspect their parts, particular components for the space industry. The problem with manual inspection was that it was only useful for inspecting a percentage of the part, not the whole component.
“Markus Schulz, Managing Director at Frantzen Discomatic explained that “we want to make sure we always send correct parts to our customers and therefore we want to check them after they have been cut.”
