Launch of the new Nakamura-Tome precision CNC multitasking lathe SC-200IIL

Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry Co., Ltd., led by Chief Executive Officer Shogo Nakamura, recently unveiled an innovative new precision CNC multitasking lathe called the SC-200IIL. This new lathe builds upon the foundational design and core capabilities of the company’s existing SC-200II model, which embodies Nakamura-Tome’s forward-thinking “Next Level Machining” concept. However, the SC-200IIL incorporates a number of key enhancements that significantly expand its machining versatility, most notably an extended bed length that substantially prolongs the distance between centres. This elongated configuration grants users dramatically increased capacity to handle lengthy, oversized workpieces This development allows users to select the R-side specifications from the sub-spindle or NT tailstock units. With its fusion of extended length capacity and adaptable R-side tooling options, the new SC-200IIL CNC turning centre represents a technological leap forward in precision machining, upholding Nakamura-Tome’s reputation for innovation in multitasking lathe design and performance.

8” Class single-turret carrying out great machining rigidity and stability

• It ensures the machining area that is more than an 8” class machine with a maximum turning diameter of 390mm and a tool swinging diameter of 620mm, equipped with a 15/11kW (op. 18.5/15kW) spindle motor. Spindle speed is 4,500min-1, and Y-axis slide travel is 100mm (±50mm).
• It also has a 5.5/3.7kW milling motor, and its spindle speed is 6,000min-1.
• With a high rigid slant bed with box-way slides, it carries out great machining rigidity and stability.
• The distance between centres has been increased to 715mm (distance between spindles: 800mm).

More convenient, more effective

• NC tailstock (MT-4/rotating centre) specifications are now standard, making it easier to machine long workpieces.
• The gantry loader “GR-203 High-Speed” is selectable. (op.)
• Many stress-free machine structures have been applied that cut the burden on workers.
