With more than 60 years’ experience under the Lagun trademark, LAGUN is a company that designs and manufactures milling solutions that are based on robust, durable, and reliable technology, with an all-in-one (column-carriage-head) configuration called the Compact Draw. Lagun’s extensive experience, the durability of their machines, and competitive prices make them a choice for customers looking for quality technology.
The process of clamping a part to a table often requires time-consuming tools and systems to correctly position and hold the part. When the machining of a main face and contouring is required, five faces of the part must be free of any interference. An efficient and effective solution to clamp the part securely, quickly, and freely is to use a magnetic clamp on one face. At LAGUN, the use of magnetic plates and support modules provide uniform clamping on the support surface quickly and safely, eliminating the need to use bolts, screws, and flanges that could impede the machining process. One method that allows the part to be clamped securely, quickly and freeing 5 faces is to use a “magnetic clamp on one face”.
A quite common practice used by LAGUN for clamping parts with variable surfaces and shapes that require machining the entire edge of the part by contouring is the use of magnetic plates and support modules for the part. This system allows uniform clamping on the support surface in a fast and safe way. And it avoids obstacles in the machining process such as clamping systems, bolts, screws, and flanges, that would have to be replaced or bypassed to perform a complete machining operation.
An example of this is a LAGUN fixed bed milling machine with magnetic tables for flat parts of various shapes in the railroad sector, where the requirement for contouring machining is important: 6 magnetic tables were installed on a LAGUN BM 4 milling machine for fast and uniform clamping of railroad sector plates for contouring machining of the complete workpiece.

Bed-type milling machines simply mean the sliding table is mounted onto the bed of the machine and the bed moves longitudinally.
They provide machining of parts up to 12 metres, with minimal part weight limitations. Accuracy, flexibility and high output.
