Keen to be Green: Headland and the Clean Technology Investment Program
What is it?
The Australian Governments “Clean Technology Program” announced in July 2011 by Minister for Industry and Innovation, Greg Combet, provides transitional assistance for businesses and industry to reduce emissions and invest in clean energy.
Made up of three components: Clean Technology Innovation Program, Clean technology- Food and Foundries Investment Program and Clean Technology Investment Program, this $1 billion grant will provide funding to assist manufacturers to buy new equipment, in turn, cutting energy costs and reducing carbon pollution.
Headland is happy to help
At Headland, we are more than happy to assist you whether you need more information, if you would like us to prepare the application for the grant or are interested in new machines to pave a path for a greener future. Simply all we ask of you is your commitment for the cause of clean technology.
TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 fiber
Our TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 fiber 5kw, using the TruDisk 5001, offers you the most economical solution for highly efficient, thin sheet metal cutting and takes full advantage of energy efficient processes. The doubled efficiency of the TruLaser 5030 fiber 3kw, using the TruDisk 3001 solid state laser means a reduced power consumption of the machine and even has an optional universal cooling interface for further use of the heat.
If the high productivity rate for thin sheet metal this wasn’t enough the TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 also has minimal non-productive time and needs less space than other laser machines.
Am I eligible?
The Clean Technology investment Program itself is a $800 million competitive, merits based grants program to support manufacturers maintain relevancy in a carbon constrained economy.
Eligibility of a company is dependent on a certain level of consumption in the 12 months prior to the application being submitted.
Companies must also participate in eligible projects activities to be considered. These projects include, but are not limited to the installation, commissioning or staff training towards emission reductive measures.
How do I apply?
Applications for the grant are made easier with the help of Headland. Once applications are complete and all eligibility requirements are met, they will be referred to Innovation Australia, an independent statutory body that will meet every six to eight weeks to consider applications. Any application for a grant over $10 million will be referred to the Cabinet.
