Colleagues,

This is my fourth and last update for 2025. I hope you’ve had a successful 2025 and wishing you all a fantastic start to 2026.

Australian PMI

The Australian Manufacturing PMI recorded a positive increase in November 2025, rising by 1.9 points to 51.6, up from 49.7 in October. This marks the strongest improvement since August 2025.

The uplift in sentiment was primarily driven by growth in new orders and production output. However, challenges remain, with ongoing supply chain disruptions, delivery delays, and material shortages continuing to impact some operations. On a positive note, input costs and inflationary pressures eased during the month.

Looking ahead to 2026, manufacturers are optimistic, with expectations of increased investment in procurement and workforce expansion to support future growth.

New Zealand PMI

The Manufacturing PMI in New Zealand also increased to 51.40 points in October from 50.10 points in September of 2025.

Optimism for 2026 has also improved.

Company update

International Response Centre

Over the past 12 months, we have been refining the model of our International Response Centre, designed to provide you with faster technical support over the phone for certain categories of technical issues.  While many of our southern states customers have reported very positive feedback, many in other regions are yet to take advantage. We are now looking to accelerate the rollout across Australia and NZ. And possibly beyond!

We’ll be working on promoting these services and the benefits to your business in early 2026. Such benefits include rapid resolution, quicker access to technically trained first responders, and in some cases diagnosis and resolution without the delays and costs associated with travel and field engineer engagement. All aimed at helping to get you up and running faster and at a lower cost to you.

Spare Parts processes

We’ve also been listening to your needs in terms of improving our parts business. We hope you have been enjoying the changes we’ve implemented within the team for faster turnaround times with quotes, receipt of parts and better visibility of tracking parts orders.

Our Parts team are also working on providing easier access to the TRUMPF Powertools range through a reseller’s network and to specialised industries where these tools/technologies are a game changer for the trade professional in the field. Including the Roofing and HVAC community. Whilst continuing to trade directly with our traditional sheet metal and fabrication client community.

Client Portal

We’re also excited to have recently launched our customer portal. While this is being released in stages, the first stage enables clients to gain visibility of their quotes, orders, invoices, and to update their profile and contact details. The following stages will deliver even greater visibility, so stay tuned! Feedback from Beta clients has been extremely positive. Thank you to all who have participated in the first stage release.

Christmas and New Year period

I’m very aware that for some of you, the last 2 years have been particularly challenging in business. I sincerely hope you get some well-earned rest, time to enjoy this festive time with family and the opportunity to recharge over the holidays. This period is also a time of the year when we encourage our team to do the same and we will have a shutdown period between Dec 19 and Jan 2 inclusive. Therefore, we will be operating with a much-reduced staff capacity. Please continue to call our 1300 number for any urgent service requests and we will make every effort to support you, but service is likely to be delayed.
