Laser Metal Fusion

Laser Metal Fusion

Optimally suited for series production of geometrically complex parts with delicate internal channels and cavities.

Laser Metal Fusion Range

In the additive manufacturing process of laser metal fusion, a workpiece is gradually constructed in a powder bed. In order to do this, a laser accurately melts down the metal powder in layers at the locations indicated by the component’s CAD building data. As a result, the procedure is frequently referred to as “metal 3D printing” or “3D printing”; the words “laser sintering” and “laser metal fusing” are also widely used in the sector.

The method is most suited for mass producing geometrically challenging items with tiny internal channels and cavities that are either impossible to manufacture using traditional methods like turning or milling, or that can only be manufactured inefficiently. Using industrial 3D printing, components with high stability and minimal weight are produced.
